Friends of the Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books

About

The Friends of the Osborne Collection includes book lovers, storytellers, teachers, professors, authors, illustrators, collectors, students… people who care about early children’s books, and want to help build, conserve and promote the use of one of the foremost English-language children’s book collections. Our members are primarily located in Canada, but we have Friends worldwide.
Since  1966, we have supported the Osborne Collection of Early Children’s Books by raising funds for special projects beyond the Toronto Public Library’s regular budget, including
– acquisitions
– cataloging, digitizing and conservation projects
– outreach through sponsored events and products
Contact the Osborne Collection  to schedule talks and tours for groups and classes (Grade 4 to Grade 8, High School, college and university classes).
Read our semi-annual newsletter  THE GRYPHON and follow us Facebook and Instagram!
The full mission statement of The Friends can be found   here.
