From Aesop's fable "The Ants and the Grasshopper", to Roald Dahl's "James and the Giant Peach" -- enjoy stories and instructional texts about ants, grasshoppers, bees, dragonflies, butterflies, spiders, and many other creatures! Illustration by Edward J. Detmold for The Fables of Aesop (NY: Hodder and Stoughton, 1910). Free. All welcome. Located in the Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books, on the 4th floor of the Lillian H. Smith Branch.
